Bazadaise cattle are an easy calving, easy care beef suckler breed, originally from south-west France. They are lighter boned than some other continental breeds but with an excellent shape, double muscling, good growth rates and temperament. Our herd is located near Aberdeen in north east Scotland in an area renowned for beef rearing and finishing. The cattle do well on our coastal grassland farm, grazing grass in the summer and outwintering on deferred grazing and, later on in the winter, hay and haylage.
